Biography
Wayne Holly earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He has 28 years of management experience in both the private and public sectors in addition to teaching experience. He has been teaching classes at Midstate College since 2001. He has taught both in the classroom and online. While he enjoys both venues, as a former online student, he realizes that it requires a certain type of dedication, organization, and persistence to be successful in online classes.
Mr. Holly also has earned the designation as a Certified Business Manager (CBM) from the Association of Professionals in Business Management, and as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management. He was one of the first individuals to earn the CPSM designation.
He has served as President and Vice president of the Great Lakes Region of the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP), and as the District IV representative to the national Board of Directors. He has also served the NAEP as Chair of the Professional Development Committee, and Co-Chair of the Program Committee for the 2006 85th Anniversary Annual Meeting. He was rewarded with the 2007 Distinguished Service Award.
