BIO 110 Anatomy and Physiology I - 4 Hrs.
This course is designed to introduce the student to the examination of the structure and function of body parts. Included are an introduction to the chemical basis of life, cells and tissues. Body systems studied in depth include the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous and endocrine systems. Signs of psychological and physical diseases, routine diagnostic tests, and common therapies associated with each system will be investigated. The etiology of disease, common childhood diseases, genetic and developmental disorders, and the effects of aging on the body are covered topics.

BIO 120 Anatomy and Physiology II - 4 Hrs.
This course is designed to introduce the student to the examination of the structure and function of body parts. Included is an in-depth study of the blood, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, digestive system, respiratory system, urinary tract, and reproductive systems. Associated subjects such as immunity, nutrition, water and electrolyte balance, genetics, pregnancy, growth and development will be discussed. Signs of psychological and physical diseases, routine diagnostic tests, and common therapies associated with each system will be investigated. The etiology of disease, common childhood diseases, genetic and developmental disorders, and the effects of aging on the body are covered topics.

BIO 300 Microbiology - 4 Hrs.
Introduction to the world of microbes.  Study will include the physiology, ecology, and the identification of microorganisms through a series of investigations.  The fundamentals of pathogenic viruses, bacteria and fungi; morphology, virulence, diagnosis and chemotherapy will also be studied.
