Topics include motivation for alternative treatment, risk, and reimbursement. Recognizing that a growing percentage of Americans utilize unconventional healing therapies in addition to the advice of physicians, there is also an introduction to the philosophies, practitioners, techniques, and evidence of efficacy of complementary and alternative medicine.
