My background is one of counseling, administration, and teaching. I hold an MSE from ISU and an MA from NIU. I am currently employed as Dean of Students at Midstate College, oversee the Student Success Office and teach varying classes. My association with Midstate College has been a long and exhilarating one. I had been part of the adjunct faculty for well over 30 years. Prior to coming to work full-time at Midstate, I worked for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Rehabilitation Services where I held various positions over the years, including Manager of Training and, most recently prior to retirement, as Manager of World Class Customer Service. I retired from the State of Illinois in January of 2010 and began working full-time at Midstate in February of that same year.
I hold learning very near and dear. My focus is to assist persons in the learning process so that they may progress and reach their individual short-term and long-term goals as well as be prepared for the challenges of today's world of work.
I am married and have two children and three beautiful grandchildren. My interests are learning, travel, and education. My passion is working with students.
