Awards and Certifications

  • Linda K. Henson Scholarship, 2008

    Linda K. Henson was an amazing photojournalist whom worked diligently for the Peoria Journal Star. She photographed life in such a unique and inspiring way only a true camera genius could, beginning from processing film to meeting crucial deadlines for print. Unfortunately, Henson past away from Breast Cancer, but to commemorate her life as well as her brilliance behind a lens, the Linda K. Henson Scholarship was founded at Southern Illinois University where she is an alum. The scholarship is awarded to a student by instructors for the best working woman journalist of the year in the photojournalism department.
