I desired an occupation that would allow me to spend as much time with my children as possible and still contribute to the household finances, and medical transcription has proven to be just that profession. I worked from home as a contractor, and do so now as an employee of Proctor Hospital. Over the years I have also been able to pick up smaller contracting jobs to help supplement my income, working for a speech pathologist and a local ENT office. Medical transcription is a flexible and rewarding field and I look forward to sharing my experiences with my students.
