CIS120 Section N - 2014 Spring Term

CIS120: Web Design - 4 Hours

Prerequisite: CIS114

This course is designed to teach the concepts and techniques needed to create web pages for the World Wide Web. Included in the course is a discussion of various Web authoring tools as well as basic Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). Additional topics include, but are not limited to, building efficient site architectures based on the principles of hierarchy, developing efficient navigational structures in the interest of usability and accessibility, creating web pages and sites that are compliant with current state and World Wide Web Consortium standards, and proper site maintenance techniques for both local sites and remote servers.
